Case Description
A criminal case was opened in the Primorsky Territory against serviceman Daniil Bondarenko for justifying terrorism. The exact date of detention and the measure of restraint are unknown. According to the indictment, Bondarenko, being dissatisfied with the decision of the leadership of the Russian Federation to conduct a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, reliably informed about the commission on October 8, 2022, and July 17, 2023, of terrorist acts on the Crimean Bridge across the Kerch Strait and convinced for ideological reasons of the correctness of such actions, on August 13, 2023, during the period from 19 hours 13 minutes to 20 hours 20 minutes in an apartment on Okatova Street in Vladivostok, acting intentionally, realizing the public danger of his actions and foreseeing the possibility of socially dangerous consequences, publicly justified the aforementioned terrorist acts, telling his comrades-in-arms about his positive assessment of the explosions on the Crimean Bridge and informing them that he approves of such actions, considers the ideology and practice of terrorism to be correct, in need of support and imitation. On January 23, 2024, the Pacific Fleet Military Court found Daniil Bondarenko guilty and sentenced him to 2 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a penal colony-settlement. March 13, 2023, the Appellate Military Court upheld the sentence.
