Case Description
In Yalta, in the annexed Republic of Crimea, no later than autumn 2024, the FSB detained local resident Charaz Akimov, 30 years old. A criminal case was initiated against him for confidential cooperation with a foreign state to the detriment of the Russian Federation. According to the security forces, from July 2023 to March 2024, Akimov proactively contacted a Ukrainian military intelligence officer on Telegram and expressed his willingness to provide various information, including photo and video materials. According to reports, in December 2023 he filmed the movement of Black Sea Fleet ships in the Southern Bay of Sevastopol. After some time, the "curators" gave him another task - to go to Roshchinsky district and "inspect" the FSB headquarters. But Akimov did not carry it out, as he was detained. The Kyiv District Court of Simferopol chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the defendant in the case.
