Case Description
On 15 March 2024, in the city of Volzhsky, Volgograd Oblast, on the first day of voting in the 2024 Putin election, 32-year-old local resident Ainura Amanbaeva, while at polling station No. 1131, poured green disinfectant into the ballot box. She stated that she received a call from an unknown number offering her 30 thousand rubles if she poured green dye into the ballot box at her polling station. A criminal case was opened against the woman for obstructing the exercise of electoral rights or the work of election commissions, by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. No information was provided about the choice of a preventive measure. On July 19, 2024, the Volzhsky City Court of the Volgograd Region found Ainura Amanbaeva guilty and sentenced her to one and a half years of imprisonment. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
