В оккупированной части Херсонской области на контрольно-пропускном пункте «Чонгар» в сентябре 2024 года российские силовики задержали 33-летнего гражданина Украины, жителя села Новодмитровка Генического района Асана Бая. Его обвинили в участии в участии в крымскотатарском батальоне им. Номана Челебиджихана.
На время следствия мужчину поместили в СИЗО.
Генический районный суд Херсонской области признал Асана Бая виновным и приговорил его к лишению свободы, размер наказания и дата приговора неизвестны. Приговор не был обжалован и вступил в законную силу.
