Case Description
No later than December 2024, Artem Pogrebenko, a 40-year-old local resident and citizen of Ukraine, was detained in Khabarovsk. He was accused of espionage, planning a terrorist attack, by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, and assisting terrorist activities. The details of the charges are unknown. The court placed the man in a pre-trial detention center. On November 14, 2025, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Artem Pogrebenko guilty and sentenced him to 21 years in a strict regime penal colony, 10 of which he must serve in prison.
