Case Description
Artem Bogeruk, a 42-year-old resident of Kandalaksha, Murmansk Oblast, was detained on November 9, 2024. He was accused of confidential cooperation with a foreign state to the detriment of Russia. According to law enforcement officials, Bogeruk "passed on the coordinates of the airfield near Olenegorsk." For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was placed in a pre-trial detention center. In April 2025, the charges against the man were reclassified as treason. On July 9, 2025, the Murmansk Oblast Court found Artemy Bogeruk guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in a strict regime colony.
