In Moscow on December 17, 2025, a search was conducted at the home of 44-year-old local resident and entrepreneur Artyom Averin. He was accused of public calls for terrorism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was comments in Telegram. According to the investigation, the man regularly left comments in opposition channels - most actively he wrote in Alexander Nevzorov's chat. He wrote that he 'hates the punks,' that Russia is a 'concentration camp,' and mocked the news about the Russian national team playing against Syria, saying that the national team should play against 'cannibals from the Cook Islands.' Artem also wrote about his desire to emigrate, but does not know what to do outside of Russia. On December 18, 2025, the Zyuzinsky District Court of Moscow sent the case's defendant into custody.
