Case Description
19 January 2026 in Moscow, 16-year-old schoolboy Artem Andreyev came to the checkpoint at the main building of Roskomnadzor on Kitaygorodsky Lane and stabbed in the chest an employee of the agency, Alexey Belyaev, as he was leaving the building. The man received a fatal wound. Immediately after the murder, FSB officers arrived at the scene, the teenager was detained and accused of murder on the grounds of political and ideological hatred. The criminal case was classified. The court chose a measure of restraint for the defendant in the form of detention. Alexey Belyaev at the time of his death held the position of deputy head of the control and supervision department in the field of communications - one of the key divisions of the department responsible for blocking internet resources, slowing down traffic, and monitoring the circumvention of restrictions.
