Memetshaev Arsen Alievich

In the occupied part of the Kherson region, no later than April 2023, Ukrainian citizens, brothers Ablemet Memetshaev and Arthur Memetshaev, were detained. They were accused of participating in an illegal armed formation - in the Crimean Tatar battalion named after. Nomana Chelebidikhana. According to the Russian investigation, the brothers allegedly voluntarily joined the Crimean Tatar Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan in October 2017. Nomana Chelebidzhikhan, were provided with weapons and took an active part in the activities of the battalion. The court placed the Ukrainians in custody. On 29 September 2023, Judge Liliana Solovyova of the Dzhankoy District Court of Crimea found Arsen Memetshaev guilty and sentenced him to 5 years' imprisonment, with 1 year to be served in prison and the remaining term in a strict regime colony. On October 25, 2023, Judge Elena Petrovna Nikolaeva of the Dzhankoy District Court of Crimea found Ablyamet Memetshaev guilty and imposed the same sentence on him. The sentences were not appealed and came into force.
