Case Description
In early November 2023, a 34-year-old radiologist at a private clinic, Arkady Shanin-Vinokurov, was detained in Moscow. He was accused of public calls for terrorism. According to the investigation, in June 2023, Shanin-Vinokurov, who was negatively disposed towards the state authorities of the Russian Federation, left a comment in Telegram approving the actions of a resident of Ust-Ilimsk, Ruslan Zinina, who in 2022 shot at a military commissar and then set fire to the floor of the assembly hall in the building of the commissariat. On November 2, 2023, the Chertanovo District Court of Moscow placed a radiologist under house arrest. October 23, 2024, the 2nd Western District Military Court found Arkady Shanin-Vinokurov guilty and sentenced him to two years in a general regime colony. The man was taken into custody in the courtroom. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
