Case Description
In St. Petersburg at the end of October 2024, a criminal case was opened against 25-year-old Anton Ziderer, an employee of an aircraft repair company, for financing extremist activities. The criminal prosecution was prompted by donations to FBK. According to the investigation, the young man made two transfers to the Anti-Corruption Foundation for the amount of 2 thousand. rubles, after which he unsubscribed from the automatic monthly transfer. Ziderer himself explained during the interrogation that he did not know that he was donating specifically to FBK, as the video he watched allegedly stated that the funds were going to another organization, and the transfer was safe. For the duration of the investigation, Zidere was taken under a written undertaking not to leave. July 8, 2024, the Vsevolozhsk City Court of the Leningrad Region found Anton Ziderer guilty and fined him 200 thousand. rubles. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
