Case Description
In Kaliningrad in September 2025, a criminal case was opened for financing extremist activities against 41-year-old local resident Anton Zhigalov. The reason for the criminal prosecution was donations to Alexei Navalny's "Anti-Corruption Foundation. According to the investigation, the man made donations to the Fund totaling 2100 rubles. Zhigalova was detained on October 22, 2025. At the request of the investigation, the court placed him in custody. On December 19, 2025, the Central District Court of Kaliningrad mitigated the measure of restraint for the defendant in the case and placed him under house arrest.
