Case Description
In August 2024, in annexed Sevastopol, 47-year-old local resident Anton Cherny was detained. He was accused of treason. According to the Russian investigation, from September 2023 to February 2024, the man cooperated with a representative of the Ukrainian border service. On the orders of his Ukrainian curator in Yalta and Sevastopol, he conducted visual observation and photography of objects and military equipment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, collected and transmitted information about their locations. During the investigation, the defendant in the case was placed in a pre-trial detention center. On December 11, 2024, the Sevastopol City Court found Anton Cherny guilty and sentenced him to 13 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime correctional colony, with a 1-year restriction of freedom and a fine of 300 thousand rubles. rubles.
