Case Description
In March 2023, in Segezha, Republic of Karelia, a search was conducted at the home of a local resident, pensioner, and activist, Anna Trusova." They confiscated all her equipment. The woman was charged under an article on public calls for activities aimed against state security. Prosecution was initiated based on posts on VKontakte published in 2022. The details of the charges are unknown. After the search, the activist was released. She was able to quickly pack her things and leave for Azerbaijan. For four months, Trusova prepared to obtain a humanitarian visa to Germany, where she eventually moved. In April 2024, it became known that a new criminal case was opened against Trusova for spreading knowingly false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In September 2024, the pensioner was put on the wanted list.
