Case Description
Anna Aleksandrova, a resident of St. Petersburg, was detained on November 22, 2023. According to the investigation, the woman published anti-war posts on VKontakte from May to July 2022. A criminal case was opened against her for "fakes" about the Russian army on the grounds of political hatred. On the same day, the Pushkin District Court of St. Petersburg sent Anna under arrest. In April 2024, new episodes were added to Alexandrova's charges: the woman was accused of posting "at least four" publications with "fakes" about the Russian army on VKontakte under the nickname "Irochka Sergeeva" from March 20 to April 22, 2023, as well as posting posts on social networks under different nicknames about how to avoid mobilization. On April 24, 2024, Alexandrov was transferred to the hospital named after. Dr. F.P." Gaaza is in the FSIN (Federal Penitentiary Service) office. The reason for the hospital transfer is unknown. On April 16, 2025, the Pushkinsky District Court of the city of The St. Petersburg Court found Anna Aleksandrova guilty and sentenced her to 5 years and 2 months in a general regime colony with a ban on posting materials and appeals on the Internet for 3 years. On November 6, 2025, the St. Petersburg City Court left the prison sentence unchanged but recognized Alexandrova's right to rehabilitation.
