The reason for the criminal prosecution was a video published in April 2022, in which Kurilets cut the throat of a man in military uniform with a sickle, while making "extremist statements." On August 23, 2023, Kurilets was put on the wanted list. On July 31, 2024, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow found Adriana Kurilets guilty and sentenced her in absentia to five years in a colony with imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony.
