Case Description
On June 2022, in the city of Krymsk, Krasnodar Krai, the FSB of Russia for Krasnodar Krai issued a warning to a local resident about the inadmissibility of actions creating conditions for state treason. According to the security forces, the man corresponded on social networks with individuals associated with the security service of Ukraine and discussed options for assisting Ukrainian special services in demoralizing Russian military personnel. For this purpose, the resident of Kuban allegedly planned to come to Crimea to conduct propaganda work among the personnel of the Russian army and persuade the military personnel of the Russian Federation to cease hostilities. In addition, a resident of Krymsk posted false information on his social media page about the actions of Russian troops within the framework of the special operation. The department noted that by posting this post, the man understood that he was acting in the interests of Ukraine. Later (the exact date is unknown), a criminal case was opened against 29-year-old Andrei Rogach, a resident of Kubansk, on attempted treason. The details of the charges are unknown. January 18, 2024, the Southern Military District Court found Andrey Rogach guilty. The sentence is unknown. On June 18, 2024, the Appellate Military Court upheld the sentence.
