Case Description
On March 11, 2025, in Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai, a 60-year-old resident, Andrey Potapenko, was detained. On the same day, the Ussuriysk District Court sentenced Potapenko to 11 days of administrative arrest in a case of an administrative offense under the article on inciting hatred or enmity due to anti-war comments in Telegram. After being released from the temporary detention facility, Potapenko was detained on criminal charges—he was accused of treason and publicly justifying terrorism. According to the investigation, Potapenko gave his friend from Ukraine a car, and also wrote on social networks that it is better to burn down a military enlistment office than to go to war. The defendant in the case was placed in the SIZO.
