Case Description
The former deputy general director of Aeroflot is suspected of fraud in connection with a contract with the American company Bain in 2019 for the development of Aeroflot's marketing strategy. On April 12, 2022, Panov wrote a column in the British newspaper Financial Times, in which, in particular, he called on top managers of Russian companies to sabotage the fulfillment of state contracts in order to bring closer the completion of Russia's special operation in Ukraine. In his opinion, they may loudly shout about the 'economic catastrophe' that is growing with each new week of the conflict. On the same day, Panov left for Israel and resigned from Aeroflot, while searches were conducted at the Aeroflot office. Case Andrey Panov considers politically motivated. He reported that he was charged a day after the publication of the material in a British newspaper, and reminded that the development strategy of the airline was once approved by the company's board of directors.
