Naydanov Andrey Viktorovich

In the settlement of Krasny Oktyabr in the Kargapolsky district of the Kurgan region, at the end of July 2022, a criminal case was initiated for public calls to extremism and terrorism against a 45-year-old local resident, Andrey Naydanov. The man was also accused of illegally acquiring and storing, without intent to sell, a portion of plants containing narcotic substances in a significant amount. According to the investigation, Naydanov on August 3, 2018, and March 8, 2019, posted on his page in one of the social networks a post and two video recordings containing calls for the violent change of state power in Russia, and calls for violent actions motivated by political and ideological hatred and enmity against the social group of representatives of state power in Russia. According to law enforcement officials, from July 20 to July 31, 2022, Naydanov collected fragments of wild hemp plants and illegally stored them until they were seized by law enforcement officers. For the duration of the investigation, the Kurgan resident was placed under a written undertaking not to leave. On March 4, 2024, the Central Military District Court found Andrey Naidanov guilty and sentenced him to 4 years in prison with serving the sentence in a general regime correctional colony and deprivation of the right to administer websites on the Internet for 2.5 years. The man was taken into custody in the courtroom. July 29, 2024, the Appellate Military Court upheld the verdict.
