Case Description
In the Penza region, a local resident, Andrei Yerikovsky, was detained on charges of treason. Date of detention unknown. According to the investigation, the young man, adhering to opposition and anti-Russian views, in February 2022 transferred money from his bank account to a Ukrainian bank, indicating in the comments to the transfer: "Charitable donation to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was placed in a pre-trial detention center. On December 16, 2024, the Penza Regional Court found Andrey Yershovsky guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in a strict regime penal colony and 1 year of restricted freedom. On February 27, 2025, the Fourth Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
