Initially, Andrey Boyarshinov was accused of inducement, recruitment, or other involvement of a person in mass riots. However, already the day after the search, a case was opened against Boyarshinov for "public calls for terrorist activity, justification or propaganda of terrorism. According to the investigation, on March 4 and 9 under the nickname "Andrey Ossian" he posted messages justifying terrorism in the chat "ProtestChat | Kazan" and in the channel "Protest Kazan - NoWar": March 4, 2022: "This is an example of how one should act now. A true patriot" in response to a message forwarded from another channel telling about how a Muscovite threw two bottles with an incendiary mixture towards the Kremlin wall and scattered anti-war leaflets. On the same day: "Perhaps this is the best way to stop the war and bring freedom to three countries at once - Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus" in response to a publication about how Alexander Konanykhin, a Russian-born businessman living in the United States, announced a reward of $1 million "to those Russian officers who detain or kill Russian President Vladimir Putin." 5. March 9: "It seems that the people's war of liberation of Russia against the fascist regime has begun. 'Glory to the hero of the new Russia' in response to a publication reporting the arson of a military enlistment office in the Moscow region. On March 19, 2022, the Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan placed Boyarshinov under house arrest, but the prosecutor's office filed an appeal with the Supreme Court of Tatarstan, and on March 29, the court changed the activist's measure of restraint and sent him to a pre-trial detention center. On May 7, 2024, the Central District Military Court found Andrey Boyarshinov guilty and sentenced him to five years in a general regime colony. The court also imposed a two-year ban on Boryashinov for administering internet resources. 5 December 2024 the Military Appellate Court upheld the sentence."
