Case Description
1. In Cherepovets, no later than September 2024, a criminal case was initiated for "justifying terrorism" against 33-year-old local resident Andrey Beletskiy. The reason for the criminal case was a comment "The only worthy person in the entire Russian Federation" - this was the man's reaction to a post about the fact that Ruslan Zimin, who shot at the military enlistment office in Ust-Ilimsk, was sentenced to 19 years in prison. The comment written by Beletskiy was read by 13 people. During the investigation, the man was placed in a pre-trial detention center. On January 16, 2025, the 1st Western Military District Court found Andrey Beletskiy guilty and sentenced him to three years in a general regime penal colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
