Case Description
In the Krasnodar Territory, on the night of May 23, 2024, near the Krymskaya station, an unknown person broke into and burned a relay cabinet. The arson led to the delay of two trains. On May 24 at 00:40, 34-year-old Anatoly Yansitov, a native of Kazakhstan working as a locksmith at a local enterprise, was detained on suspicion of sabotage. He was accused of committing sabotage. According to the investigation, Yansitov, driven by the idea of undermining the economic security and defense capability of the Russian Federation, acting on the instructions of his curator, set fire to a relay metal cabinet belonging to the Crimean Distance of Signaling, Centralization, and Blocking - a structural unit of JSC "RZD. Yansitov himself stated that he "acted voluntarily and disinterestedly, as he is an ideological person. The man was placed in custody for the duration of the investigation. On April 28, 2025, the Krasnodar Regional Court found Anatoly Yansitov guilty and sentenced him to 10.5 years in a strict regime colony with the first 2 years to be served in prison.
