Case Description
On 21 May 2024, a search was conducted in the village of Shimolino, Blagoveshchensky District, Altai Krai, at the home of 27-year-old local resident Anatoly Lipkovsky. He was accused of justifying terrorism and calling for extremism. According to the investigation, in 2021 and 2022, Lipkovsky "gave a positive assessment of the destructive and violent actions against citizens of the Russian Federation" in his social media publications." The exact content of the posts is unknown. For the duration of the investigation, a preventive measure was taken against the defendant in the form of a written undertaking not to leave. January 23, 2025, the 2nd Eastern Military Court found Anatoly Lipkovsky guilty and sentenced him to 5 years in a general regime colony. He was taken into custody in the courtroom. On May 5, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the verdict unchanged.
