Case Description
On charges of confidential cooperation to the detriment of the Russian Federation, no later than November 2024, 33-year-old Amet Abultairev was detained. Most likely, a criminal case was initiated in annexed Sevastopol, after which the man was escorted to Moscow. The details of the charges are unknown. The court placed the man in a pre-trial detention center. Later it became known that his father-in-law, 54-year-old Vladislav Shchurov, was detained along with Abultairov. He was accused of treason, details are also unknown. On September 3, 2024, Lefortovo District Court of Moscow chose detention as a preventive measure for Shchurova.
