Case Description
In Khabarovsk in March 2024, three local residents were detained - 20-year-old Alina Savina, her common-law husband 34-year-old Maksim Lvov, and 39-year-old Yevgeny Zhukov. Lyvov was beaten during his arrest. Explosives were allegedly found during a search at his home. A criminal case was opened against Savina for calls for terrorism, the details of the charges are unknown. Lyvova was accused of treason, attempted terrorism, and illegal possession of explosives and ammunition. Details of the charges are also unknown. Zhukov is accused of preparing a terrorist attack committed by an organized group of persons. It is assumed that this refers to participation in the Artpodgotovka movement of Vyacheslav Maltsev, which was recognised as terrorist. It is reported that all three Khabarovsk residents were members of his "Revolution" chat. The defendants in the case were placed in custody for the duration of the investigation. In February 2025, it became known that Savina was also charged with high treason, undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities, and attempted terrorism. On June 10, 2025, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Evgeny Zhukov guilty and sentenced him to 4.5 years in prison. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force. On August 26, 2025, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Alina Savina guilty and sentenced her to 12.5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. On December 10, 2025, the 1st Eastern District Military Court found Maxim Lvov guilty and sentenced him to 23 years in a strict regime colony, with the first 6 years to be served in prison, and a fine of 400 thousand. rubles. December 15, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left Savina's sentence unchanged.
