Case Description
In Abakan, no later than May 2024, a criminal case was opened against 18-year-old local resident Alina Kyune. She was accused of participation in the activities of a terrorist organization and public calls to carry out terrorist activities.
According to the investigation, Kühne participated in the activities of the banned "terrorist movement" Columbine. As a minor, she sent information about the mass shooting at the American Columbine school to a Telegram chat room. The prosecution found that the girl knew about the organization's ban because she was inquisitive and spent a lot of time on the Internet. Kühne herself stated that she published the banned information at the request of another user and had no intention of encouraging anyone to commit crimes.
There is no information about the measure of restraint.
On December 19, 2024, the 2nd Eastern District Military Court found Alina Kühne guilty and sentenced her to 5.5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.
On April 22, 2025, the Military Court of Appeal left the judicial act unchanged.
