Case Description
In Moscow in October 2019, 59-year-old Aleksei Valuyev was detained on charges of treason. The details of the charges are unknown. On October 14, 2019, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow placed the defendant in the case in custody. On December 23, 2020, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court found Alexey Valuyev guilty and sentenced him to 9 years in a strict regime colony. March 5, 2021, the Fourth Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the sentence unchanged.
