Case Description
In the Udmurt Republic, against Alexei Sukhih, who was serving a sentence on charges of murder in correctional colony No. 5, a criminal case was opened for repeated propaganda and public demonstration of Nazi symbols and symbols of an extremist organization. The date of the initiation of the case is unknown. According to the investigation, Sukhikh, while in the colony, systematically showed other convicts tattoos with Nazi symbols and the "AUE" symbolism. For the duration of the investigation, Sukhikh was placed under a measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave. On July 28, 2025, the Sarapul City Court of the Udmurt Republic found Alexey Sukhih guilty and, taking into account the partial accumulation with the unexpired punishment under the previous sentence, sentenced him to 3 years 6 months of imprisonment in a strict regime correctional colony and changed the measure of restraint to detention. On September 18, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Udmurt Republic changed the verdict: it clarified the wording of the charge, left the term of imprisonment unchanged, but added an additional punishment in the form of 2 years of restriction of freedom after release from the colony.
