According to the investigation, in August 2023, Repin, while serving his sentence in a penal colony, publicly expressed views in the presence of other convicts about the correctness of the ideology and practice of terrorism, which needed support and imitation, and also called for the implementation of extremist and terrorist activities. It is unknown exactly what Repin said. The Primorsky District Court of Izhevsk chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention against the defendant in the case." On May 28, 2025, the Central Military District Court found Alexei Repin guilty. Details of the imposed punishment are unknown.
