Case Description
In July 2023, in Chita, the FSB detained 21-year-old local resident Alexandra Sulimova. According to law enforcement, the girl openly expressed her opposition to the military actions in Ukraine on her social networks and wanted to eventually leave for Ukraine. The girl met a man through correspondence, he allegedly turned out to be a representative of the Ukrainian border service. The FSB claims that at his request, she filmed military trains going by rail and sent him photos and videos. The girl is also accused of filming military personnel leaving for the combat zone at the Chita airport and sending videos of mobilized people traveling in a convoy. This information, when received by a foreign state, could be used against the Armed Forces and security of the Russian Federation." 1. The court sent her to a pre-trial detention center. On April 11, 2024, the Trans-Baikal Regional Court found Alexandra Sulimova guilty and sentenced her to 12 years in prison with serving the sentence in a general regime colony and with a 1-year restriction of freedom.
