Case Description
Alexander Panibrats, a 35-year-old local resident and citizen of Ukraine, was detained in the occupied Luhansk region in March 2022. He was accused of participating in a terrorist community, illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition, explosives and explosive devices, and attempting to take the life of a law enforcement officer. The details of the charges are unknown. The man was placed in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. On November 29, 2023, the Southern Military Court found Aleksandr Panibrats sentenced him to 16 years in a strict regime penal colony. February 12, 2024, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
