Case Description
In Kemerovo, no later than November 2024, a criminal case was opened against Alexander Panasenko. He was accused of rehabilitating Nazism and repeatedly propagating or publicly demonstrating prohibited symbols. According to the investigation, Panasenko left a comment under a post about fines for defacing the St. George ribbon on VKontakte: "I bought it, so I'll piss on it. And I don't give a damn who got offended by this. He had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for displaying Nazi symbols. There is no information about the measure of restraint. On April 21, 2025, the Kemerovo Regional Court found Alexander Panasenko guilty and sentenced him to 4 years and 4 months in a general regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
