Case Description
24 August 2023, in Feodosia, annexed Crimea, after a search, local 61-year-old entrepreneur Alexander Osadchy was detained and taken away in an unknown direction. Since February 2024, Aleksandr Osadchy has been held in Detention Center No. 2 in Simferopol, but his relatives did not know his whereabouts for almost a year—until June 2024, when he was charged with treason. According to law enforcement, in November 2023, Osadchy, while near Feodosia, gathered information about the movement of a locomotive with petroleum product tanks, after which he sent video and geographic coordinates of the terminal to a chatbot used by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine." In a video published later, Osadchy, with his face blurred, says that he "collaborated with Ukrainian special services" and sent them information about the locations of military facilities, the positions of air defense systems, and the infrastructure of the Feodosia Sea Commercial Port. August 6, 2025, Judge Natalia Kulinskaya of the Supreme Court of Crimea found Alexander Osadchy guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in a strict regime penal colony.
