On December 21, 2024, around 18:00 in Kolpino, St. Petersburg, an unknown man set fire to an ATM at a Sberbank branch on Lenin Avenue, d. The front panel of the ATM caught fire, no one was injured. In doing so, the pensioner acted on the instructions of scammers. A criminal case was initiated against Nikiforov for committing two terrorist attacks and one attempted terrorist attack. On December 23, 2024, the Kolpinsky District Court of St. Petersburg chose a measure of restraint for the case participant in the form of detention.
