Case Description
In Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region, at the end of February 2024, a criminal case was opened for repeated "discrediting" of the RF army against 60-year-old local resident Alexander Malafeevsky. The reason for the criminal prosecution was posts on VKontakte. On February 29, a search was conducted at Malafeevsky's place, after which he was taken for interrogation at the Investigative Committee, where he signed a confession. It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. Earlier, in December 2022, the Severodvinsk City Court fined the man in a case of an administrative offense under the article on discrediting the army due to posts on VKontakte. The content of these posts is unknown. On May 22, 2024, the Severodvinsk City Court of the Arkhangelsk Region found Alexander Malafeevsky guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 100 thousand." rubles. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
