Case Description
Unknown individuals set fire to two relay cabinets on a section of the railway line between Sharypovo and Shush stations in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on July 30, 2023. On the same day, three teenagers — 16-year-olds Daniil Zaripov, Aleksandr Leleko, and Vladimir Matveev — were detained on charges of arson. According to investigators, they acted "on the orders of an unidentified person." Initially, a criminal case was opened against the teenagers for the destruction of other people's property, but later the charge was reclassified to sabotage committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. The Krasnoyartsev was placed in a pre-trial detention center. October 24, 2024, the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court found the defendants guilty and sentenced Daniil Zaripov and Vladimir Matveev to 6 years in a juvenile colony, Alexander Leleko - to 6.5 years in a general regime colony. January 29, 2025, the Fifth Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the sentence unchanged.
