Kvashninov Aleksandr Pavlovich

In Stavropol Krai, a criminal case was opened against prisoner Alexander Kvashnikov, who is serving his sentence in a colony, for participating in the activities of an extremist organization. According to the investigation, while in the colony, Kvashnikov voluntarily joined the ranks of the extremist organization "Right Sector," which is banned on the territory of the Russian Federation, in May 2022, and for promised compensation, he uttered the words of the oath. Since Kvashnikov was already in the colony, no measure of restraint was chosen for him before the trial. On November 30, 2023, the Kochubeyevsky District Court of Stavropol Krai found Alexander Kvashnikov guilty and, taking into account the unserved part of the punishment under the previous sentence, finally sentenced him to 4 years of imprisonment in a strict regime correctional colony with a restriction of freedom for 1 year. He was taken into custody in the courtroom. On January 31, 2024, the Stavropol Krai Court left the verdict unchanged.
