On April 21, 2023, in Moscow, an FSB officer came to Alexander Kraichik's workplace and took his phone. Five days later, the man was removed from a flight to Istanbul and arrested for five days under an article on petty hooliganism - the man allegedly swore and waved his arms at "Vnukovo. 2 May, when Kraichik was due to be released, he was again detained and arrested for 15 days under the article on disobeying a police officer. In the protocol, security forces indicated that Kraychik interfered with the "detection and suppression" of a crime under the article on treason. The man was then arrested two more times. On June 10, Kraichik was supposed to be released from the special detention center 'Sakharovo' after his fourth arrest, but he was taken away in an unknown direction. Two days later, on June 12, the Leninsky District Court of Perm sent Alexander Kraichik to a pre-trial detention center on charges of state treason. According to the security forces, two days after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, on February 26, 2022, Kraichik transferred 50 euros to an account at Deutsche Bundesbank, opened to collect money for supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. During the interrogation on June 11, Kraichik did not deny that he had made this translation. On November 6, 2024, the Moscow City Court found Alexander Kraichik guilty and sentenced him to 13 years in a strict regime penal colony and 1 year of restriction of freedom." On February 3, 2025, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
