In February 2024, a search was conducted at the home of 29-year-old local resident Alexander Karmanov in Syktyvkar. A criminal case was opened against him for repeated "discrediting" of the army. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a comment on VKontakte. No information was provided about the choice of a preventive measure.
