Case Description
Alexander Glushkin, a 55-year-old local resident and school security guard, was detained in St. Petersburg in February 2024. A criminal case was opened against him for "fakes" about the Russian army on the grounds of political hatred. The reason for the criminal prosecution of Glushkin was his post on VK about the crimes of Russian servicemen in Bucha. Olga Saveleva (according to SOTAvision, head of the additional education department at the school where Glukhkin worked as a security guard) drew attention to the publication and reported it to the school principal. On February 7, 2024, the Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg chose a measure of restraint for Glushkina in the form of a ban on certain actions. Subsequently, the measure of restraint was changed and the man was sent under arrest. September 18, 2025, the Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg found Alexander Glushkin guilty and sentenced him to 5 years in a general regime colony.
