Case Description
Alexander Emelyanov, a 52-year-old design engineer working at one of the local military enterprises in Rostov-on-Don, was detained no later than May 2023. He was accused of treason. According to the investigation, Yemelyanov posted statuses against the special military operation in one of the messengers, after which he was contacted by employees of the Ukrainian special services. In April 2023, he passed on information to them about the location of Russian military equipment." "Emelyanova was sent to a pre-trial detention center after her arrest. No later than August 20, 2025, the Rostov Regional Court found Alexander Emelyanov guilty and sentenced him to 13 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a strict regime colony with a 1.5-year restriction of freedom.
