Case Description
Alexander Abramov, a 33-year-old resident of the Glushkovsky district, was detained in the Kursk region. The date of the man's detention is unknown. He was accused of high treason, illegal acquisition and storage of explosive devices, as well as an attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer. According to law enforcement, Abramov kept hand grenades and detonators for them at his home, and also passed information about the deployment of Russian military personnel on the border with Ukraine in the Glushkovsky district to "foreign intelligence. During the detention, Abramov allegedly attempted to use a grenade, thereby committing an attack on the life of a police officer and a serviceman. According to the investigation, he committed the crimes on the territory of the Kursk region from 2014 to 2023. The court sent the defendant into custody. On June 24, 2025, the Kursk Regional Court found Alexander Abramov guilty and sentenced him to 24 years in prison, with the first 5 years to be served in prison and the remaining part in a strict regime colony. The court also fined him 450 thousand. rubles and a 2-year restriction of liberty.
