On June 19, 2023, a criminal case was opened in Moscow for hooliganism committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy against two citizens of Kazakhstan - 27-year-old Alexander Abram and 26-year-old Eduard Burdilov. 24 June 2024, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow sent both men to a remand prison. Later, the charges were reclassified twice - first under the article on disabling vehicles or means of communication, and finally - sabotage committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. According to the investigation, at the behest of 'recruiters' from Ukraine, the men set fire to three relay cabinets on the railway. For this, they received a reward in cryptocurrency worth 30 thousand. rubles. Meanwhile, they did not cause any serious damage to the transport infrastructure. On July 1, 2024, the Moscow City Court found Alexander Abram and Eduard Burdilov guilty and sentenced both to 13 years in prison. Abraham will spend the first 4 years of his sentence in prison, Eduard Burdilov - 5 years. The defendants in the case will serve the remaining part of their sentence in a strict regime penal colony. The court also granted the civil claim of Russian Railways and ordered Abram and Burdilov to pay 387,338.74 rubles in damages. Until the sentence is executed in this part, an arrest imposed by the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow on March 19, 2024, will be preserved on the bank accounts of Abram and Burdilov. On October 10, 2024, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
