Case Description
In October 2022, a criminal case was opened in Naberezhnye Chelny against a local 39-year-old resident, Albert Mansurov, for repeated "discrediting of the army. The reason for the criminal prosecution was certain publications in the social network "VKontakte. The details of the charges are unknown. Mansurov himself flew to Dubai after the war began. In mid-September of the same year, he was placed on federal wanted list. Earlier, in the spring of 2022, Mansurov was charged under an administrative offense article for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: on April 29, Mansurov held an anti-war picket outside the administration building of Naberezhnye Chelny.
